Sometimes we take coupons for granted. Since most of us have a stockpile of toothbrushes we can change our toothbrush whenever we want. But according to the latest Walmart campaign with Reach about 59% of households only buy one toothbrush per person each year.

Right now, you can submit your very own toothbrush design and you might see it in Walmart stores next summer. Reach will have different designs according to season to remind us when its time to change our toothbrush.

Kmart Doubles Round 2

I just couldn’t resist going to Kmart again. I really went because I need a shoe rack and was planning on using the $5/$25 from my last trip. Until I got to the store and realized I didn’t bring the coupon. Just an excuse to go back again!

Here is what I got.

Today’s Walgreens Trip

I think I have been to Walgreens too many times lately. When I got to the register, the cashier was so happy to see me. She said she hoped I would come in because the store manager told her the register rewards for the Reach/Listerine would not work with the coupons. Certain Reach toothbrushes, floss, and Listerine are on sale 3 for $9, but then you get $6 in register rewards.

Our paper had a buy 3 Listerine/Reach get $5 off! Somehow I missed that coupon, which makes it a $2 moneymaker, but I still had coupons that made it free. I got the Arizona Tea again as a filler. A good filler idea is the pencils they have that are 10 cents. But, the tea seems to be my favorite filler. I did two separate transactions, as usual. And of course, the register reward printed.

Trip #1
Arizona Iced Tea – $2.99
Sudafed – $3.99 – [$1.50 manu.q] = $2.49
Sudafed – $3.99 – [$1.50 manu.q] = $2.49

Total before coupons – $10.97
Tax = $0.00
Total after coupons – $7.97 and I got $3 back in register rewards for the Sudafed.

Walgreens Frees Are Calling

I was looking for pictures of Ritz crackers to post since they’re free this week at Walgreens, but I found pictures of the Ritz-Carlton instead, and that’s much better to look at than crackers.

Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to stay there for free, but looking at that pool makes me want to find a way. For now, you get crackers and eye drops.

Blink Tears Eye Drops are on sale for $7.99 and are giving back $7.99 in RR, making them free. There was a $2/1 coupon in Sunday’s RP, making this a MM.

Colgate Toothpaste is $3.29 and giving back $3.29 in RR, making it free. There was a $1/1 in the 02/22 SS to give you overage.

With that free toothpaste, you’re gonna need a toothbrush and luckily Reach ones are 99 cents. Combine that with the $1/1 coupon from the 02/08 RP and you’re looking at free.

Now, what you’ve been waiting for: Ritz Crackers. The 4 oz. packs are on sale, two for $1.99. If you didn’t use all your $2/2 coupons from the 01/25 SS on the CVS deal, you’re gonna get some free Ritz.

Kmart Doubles Take Two

I had not been to Kmart in years … until they started the double coupons. Now I have been to two different Kmarts in three days. I was a little upset most of the cat food was gone and no Glade carpet freshener. But once you see what else I got, you will see why I am still so excited! I am not sure I will make it again this week, but there is still a stack of coupons burning a hole in my pocket. And I got a $.75 off Purina Whisker Lickin’ treats catalina today.

I split my cart into two transactions. There were lots of people shopping but no one in line so I was not holding anyone up. The Pounce cat treats were $1.08 since the coupon was $1.50 off 2. It did not double since it was off 2.
